Whats up Folks!!!

Just posting some work from my Illustration class at SCAD. I like how this one came out. I have never used scratchboard before. I really like my results. I am showing you the process I used to get the the final piece on scratchboard. I first started out with some thumbnail sketches. Then I picked on I liked and fleshed it out. Next, I transfered the tight pencil to the scracthboad. Last but not least, I scratched away on the scratchboard. lol.. Let me know what you all think. Comments are always welcome. :)

Whats going on Ladies and Gents,

Posting some more work that from my classes at SCAD. Im pretty pleased at how these came out given that I did these at the last hour. I just need to push the value more darken some areas and lighten some areas. Eventuallly, I will fix those errors. Anyways, enjoy....:)

Just wanted to post a sketch that I did for my first assignment in my intro to illustration class. We are supposed to advertise a product using an animal. I choose a chimpanzee using body wash. The challenge is to stipple the drawing. I'm not too pleased with the finished stippled piece I'll post it once I get it back from the professor.

Why Hello Folks!

Two posts in one day..Wow.. I am going to try to post regularly like 2-3 times a week. Anyways here are some Character Concept Sketches. Let me tell you about this woman
She wasn’t the typical woman you see in movies and magazines
She wasn’t fine nor sexy, she was just plain beautiful
She lives in my mind
Whenever I close my eyes all I see is her
I ardor every little thing about her
From the special spark in her eyes that sparks a flame inside my soul
To the warmth and sweetness of her smile that makes my heart speed
I love when she has no makeup on and no style to her hair
Because I recognize the true value of her beauty

I Miss Ya Dad

How are you all doing?
I wrote a while back around father's day. My intention was to have a colored drawing that goes with it. I just didn't get around to finish developing it. Anyways, I my father was a very inspiration figure in my life. As a child I can remember looking through some my dad’s paintings. I remember being amazed as I watched him work on his latest piece. I would say to myself, "I want to be just like him. Here is the poem that I wrote entitled, I miss ya Dad....

I often reminisce on the days gone pass
The days when I was a child
The moments I shared with my Dad

I miss those father and son conversations
I miss being called bighead and knucklehead
I miss going to the train station to pickup my Dad from work

I loved when we would go fishing
I loved when we would go draw together
I loved when we would play basketball

Those moments as a child
I will cherish forever
I miss you Dad.............

Hello all. Once again this piece is inspired by a experience that I had as a child where my mom would constantly drive around with the gas tank on empty. We would run out of gas on several occasions leaving me to go walk to the nearest gas station to get some gas. I remember one time where I had to walk with my Sunday's best on to get some gas.
